AOL diggs revamped Netscape site

AOL diggs revamped Netscape site

There was a time when Netscape was the premier web browser for the Internet.  That all changed when Microsoft decided to include Internet Explorer in all of its Windows OS.  Netscape fell out of favor with Internet users and IE soon became the de facto web browser for the world.  Netscape was later acquired by America on Line (AOL).  Ironically, Mozilla grew out of Netscape.  Mozilla tried to rescurrect Netscape.  Unfortunately, Mozilla experienced the same problems with Netscape.  It was slow and bloated.  But,  Mozilla decided to dump everything and build from scratch.  The result was Firefox.  Now, AOL wants to build a new image for the Netscape portal.  Instead of developing something totally new, AOL opted to emulate Digg.  That's right, if you can't beat them then joined them.
