BugMeNot circumvents this problem by compiling a list of user ID's and their corresponding passwords for anyone to use. The ID's and passwords are from real users who "donate" their ID's and passwords. RetailMeNot is slightly different. Instead of login information, RetailMeNot maintains a list of coupon codes for online web sites. It does not work all of the time; in fact, the success rate hovers around 20%. But 20% is better than nothing.
