Google has no plan for its own Web browser: CEO - MSNBC Wire Services - MSNBC.com

Eric Schmidt, Google's CEO, announced publicly that there are no plans to develop a Google web browser.  Schmidt stated there already exists a fair number of competent web browsers already available - Schmidt mentioned Firefox and Opera.  Though there might not be a Google browser in the near future, Goolge has been working very closely with Mozilla and Opera Inc.  For example, the upcoming Firefox 2.0 will include Google's Safe Browsing Antiphishing feature.  In addition, both Firefox and Opera have Google as the default search engine.
