BetaNews | Apple Loses Appeal in Trade Secret Case
AppleInsider is a popular website for Apple users. A year ago, the site received information from someone employed at Apple Computers. AppleInsider, in turn, used the information to publish an article on their site. Apple Computers was outraged at the release of company secrets and demanded to know the identity of AppleInsider's source. AppleInsider argued that they are journalist and, therefore, are entitled to protection from revealing their source. The original ruling was against AppleInsider but they applied for an appeal.
